Tate-Jones units are for use in low pressure applications (5 PSI) where 100% shutoff is not required.  When the vessel has a deeper wall thickness, a longer “E” dimension is available. If a special “E” dimension is required, the unit can be modified to accommodate the specification.

The operating environment and heat should be considered when ordering type of steel and glass.
